water, air, earth. God, everywhere.

hey friends-

no one has posted in a few weeks (kind of a bummer, right? i love hearing updates from everyone) so i thought i'd break the silence and give you a quick update:

-i have fridays off so i did something fun today... ran around in some earth and water.

-but even more fun and exciting is the fact that i just booked my flight to come back to nashville for homecoming! you have no idea how much God provided for this one- makes me so stoked that in a little over a month i'll be in the air, about to see all of you guys again.

-whoever said moving to a new city where you don't know anyone was easy was either the biggest extrovert, or insane. God keeps on showing up in ways i didn't think were possible- but also my heart keeps on coming back to... you. i'm learning that LA is a great town- but not my town. i'll be lucky if i can make it two years here (completely ignore the picture above right now) until i find a more solid group of people to go through life with.

now... it's your turn. updates, please?

-chase

PS if you are wondering what my program actually does, i finally have some insight: it is the science of buildings, with architecture being the goal. we test different conditions, different situations on a proposed plan and see if it is, actually, the best building that can be designed. everything from daylight to energy use to ventilation to materials is considered.
so the long and the short of it is: i'm learning artsy civil engineering and/or calculated architecture. they're the same thing. it's all about making cool stuff for people to use and live in.
