i'm a little late on this one...

hey folks. sorry i'm a little late on the uptake here...

for the past week, i have been living in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
i'll be here for the next four months.

i'm working for fashionABLE, which was started by Mocha Club {a non-prof in Nashville that does development projects in Africa}

fashionABLE exists to support sustainable business for women in Africa. They sell scarves {made in Ethiopia} and then put the proceeds back into the project.

right now, our primary partner is an NGO in Addis that rehabilitates women who have been sex workers. many of the women {upon completion of the program} work as scarf weavers {dyers, stitchers, etc} to provide some of the scarves that are sold in the US.

i'm hear to be a communication liaison and production/quality control consultant. exciting and a little daunting, considering its mostly new for me. i know that this is where i should be though, that has been so evident. and God is really providing, while at the same time reminding me to lean on him. it's good. nothing like a new situation to remind you of truths easily forgotten.
