streams&gathering.

i should be in bed by now, but this needs to be shared. have yall ever read the devo book streams in the desert? well you should. here's why. today's reading...

glory be. hope thats encouraging to yall too. well, maggie and jonathan's glorious wedding provided another one of these crowded meetings, inspiring and helpful. and it was beautiful. like karen said, thats just the best way to describe the events of the weekend in houston. a testament to His love indeed. more than anything, it was just a long time coming. finally! was the general sentiment. what a couple. and what a reunion. it was just plain lovely to see the way that people gather. and i love that phrase "we are gathered here together". even as we've returned to our respective cities and residences (just got our keys to 1902lombardy last night!), we returned with the lingering sweetness of another dance party, another heart-to-heart, another prayer, and the celebration of dear friends and lovelovelove.

but as for nashville real life, its great to be back at work at the ymca. working at latino achievers, i've been meeting with latino students and families to talk about how to send them to college. after all, after the past four fabulous college years i've experienced, it just seems right to turn around a provide that to other people. i'm still working on the part where i articulate that eloquently/successfully/coherently in spanish, but thats where my sense of humor comes in. and patience is a sweet thing.

p to the s, spain was wonderful, in a word. experienced it in a completely different way than i did when i lived there last year. new adventures, but revisiting some old favorites, like my favorite bar by the river in sevilla. its called "la tertulia", which means "the gathering". gatheration, if you will. and we've come full circle... thanks for letting me gather my thoughts. can't wait to see the ways we gather in the future. but for now, its time for bed, friends.
